Mariana Tranchesi Ortiz has been practicing law for over 20 years. Before founding Perez, Imperia e Ortiz Advogados, she was a partner for eight years at Tofic Simantob, Perez e Ortiz Advogados. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and a Law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a specialization in Criminal Law from both the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University.

Mariana has taught as a guest lecturer and supervised thesis projects in the Postgraduate Program in Economic Criminal Law at the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/Law). She is the author of the book Concurso de agentes nos delitos especiais and is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (IBCCRIM).

She has been repeatedly recognized by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
